Should you Upgrade? Rec Pro / Houghton Quiet Air Conditioner 18-month Review |e140

    07/20/2023
    2023, Fixes & Maintenance, Season 5 – Go WEST(ish)!, Upgrades!

We’re reviewing our Rec Pro 13.5K Low Profile Air Conditioner we purchased 18 months ago after replacing our old noisy 11K Dometic air conditioner. Was it worth it? We’ll let you know in this video!

STUFF WE TALKED ABOUT IN THE VIDEO ๐Ÿ‘€โญ๐Ÿ‘€

Rec Pro 13.5 Low-Profile Quiet Air Conditioner with heat pump – This is the unit we purchased back at the beginning of 2022. This has a lot of features, so definitely recommend to go out to the Rec Pro site!

Sirocco 360-degree fan – I know this fan isn’t cheap, but BOY does it work well. You can move it around to help push air into the bedroom, use it to help with airflow when the windows are open.

And, best of all, we can angle it JUST RIGHT so that at night, air blows on Gary and not me!

This guy is pretty quiet and is directly wired to 12V. We literally use this every day, and if we’re not traveling, it’s on 24/7.

    Our Camping Locationsโ›บ๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ๐Ÿ“Œ

We’re sharing our camping and other locations on iOverlander (boondocking, etc.) and Campendium (established campsites).

โœ…Penpac RV – not the typical place to stay overnight, but it’s saving us a TON of money. I started looking at long-term hotels and Air BnBs in the area and we’d be paying well into the thousands for the amount of time we’re likely to spend here. Not the prettiest of places, but the price is right! And hopefully we’ll get started on the camper shortly!

    Our Journey Mapโ›บ๐Ÿฅพ๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ๐Ÿ“Œ

We also have a currently free map on Google with all of the places we’ve stayed along with the related video and links to more detailed reviews on iOverlander , Campendium and Google Maps.
