Running from a Snowstorm & Trapped Overnight in the Wind! | e120 | Truck Camper RV Travels

    04/02/2023
    2023, Nevada, Season 5 – Go WEST(ish)!, Utah

After one more beautiful day in Zion, we head out a bit early due to the impending snow storms. But we don’t know where to go!

    WHERE WE STAYED🛻⛺:

We have a currently free map on Google that has all of the places where we’ve stayed along with the related video and links to more detailed reviews on iOverlander , Campendium and Google Maps.

    Watchman Campground (Springdale, UT)

Check out my blog on this campground in episode 116.

Virgin River BLM (South of Littlefield, AZ)

After provisioning, we decided to stay here since it looked like we wouldn’t be hit hard with the snow that was coming to the area. What we didn’t plan for fully was the intensity of the wind!

We did head down on the road a bit and got as close to the river as possible, but we still hit 70 mph gusts regularly for 2 days.

Lake Mead off 8-mile road (North of Boulder City, NV)

We stayed at Lake Mead for a little while waiting for Amazon packages to be delivered in Las Vegas. 8-mile road was decent at the beginning but did get a bit more difficult the further you went in. We stayed a good long ways away from the water and were close to some rock outcroppings to help with the wind. We were greeted by several coyotes!

A coyote checking us out near Lake Mead (technically

BLM off Lovell Canyon Road (West of Las Vegas, NV)

This was a nice area to stay while not getting a *ton* of wind and to ponder where to go next

    WHERE WE PLAYED:🐟🛶🚴‍♀️🥾

    This was more of a hunkering-down week….

    WHERE WE ATE: 🍽️🥩🍹🍺🍽️

In our camper (shocking, I know)
