One of our Carefree Awning slide toppers was continually getting stuck when moving the slide back in. We were not able to find a way to salvage it so we purchased a Lippert Solera slide topper instead.

We’ve been using it for about a month now and it is working fine – these are great when you’re simply not thinking of them. 🙂

Installation was a bit challenging partially due to the high heat/humidity in North Carolina but also enhanced by several small but frustrating (and time-consuming) reworks on parts for the topper. If you’re going down this path, make sure to take an extra dose of patience since the end result is worth it.
